Splitmania is a company specialising in the supply of accessories for the complete installation of any air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation system equipment, dedicated to the professional installer. With more than thirty years of experience, they have 21 points of sale in Spain. They hybridised their Isuzu M21 Euro VI to introduce themselves to the Environmental Protection Policy established by the company.
The hybridisation between diesel and autogas or liquefied biogas from BeGas, for trucks and urban buses, is simple and minimally intrusive. The most important aspect of the process is the calibration of the vehicle, since it is decisive in achieving the optimum percentage of mixture between gas and diesel and maintaining the original performance of the engine. At BeGas we have our own state-of-the-art calibration bench for heavy industrial vehicles.
This hybridisation, personalised in all cases, allows the obtaining of the Eco-DGT label, which enables industrial vehicles to comply with environmental regulations. From Splitmania they assure us that it is “a way of making industrial vehicles and environmental protection compatible”.
The company highlights the “significant” economic savings in fuel that the use of autogas or liquefied biogas entails, in addition to “the greater autonomy offered by being able to use two fuels”.
After having tested its first vehicle hybridized with autogas or liquefied biogas, Splitmania is already considering including more hybrid vehicles in its fleet, since it considers that it is “highly advisable for this type of delivery vehicles”.
