BeGas and Revenant seal a commercial agreement for the remanufacturing of 2,000 machines for ports with BioAutogas engines

BeGas, European leader in the manufacture and development of engines powered by alternative energies, and Revenant, a pioneer company in the remanufacturing of handling machinery for ports and industry, have sealed a commercial agreement for the manufacture of 2,000 port and industrial machines in the next ten years with ecological engines powered 100% by BioAutogas.

This alliance will allow combining the capabilities of two innovative companies with the purpose of promoting the shared objectives of decarbonization, promotion of the circular economy and transformation of the economic fabric, through the remanufacturing of heavy equipment dedicated to industry and ports – such as industrial and port towing tractors, container handlers or high-tonnage forklifts. This is a process that returns the product to a state of quality superior to the original and incorporating the first European engine dedicated to BioAutogas, of the latest generation, which complies with Stage V regulations.
Through this project, both companies estimate that they can avoid the emission of more than 150,000 tons of CO2 in ten years, thanks to the use of BioAutogas, a completely renewable fuel made from biomass, waste and organic oils of sustainable origin with an environmental impact of up to 90% less.

Pedro Silva, CEO of BeGas, states that “this union of talent, in favor of the renewal of the Basque industry, provides an innovative, economically and environmentally sustainable solution, as well as a clear commitment to the circularity of the sector.”

For Alex Lopez, CEO of Revenant, “this strategic alliance represents a significant step towards the circular economy in industry and ports, consolidating our commitment to innovation and care for the environment. This milestone is another step that strengthens us to continue being a sustainable, efficient and profitable solution for our clients.”

In this way, Revenant is betting on a leading powertrain supplier, with whom it also shares Biscayan origins, contributing to the Basque industrial ecosystem while giving a second useful life to machinery that would have been scrap, avoiding the generation of tons of waste.

BeGas is a technology-based, research-based company founded in 2015. Since its inception, it has sought to contribute to a sustainable future in the transport of people and goods. And this future involves society, its investors, clients and suppliers and, of course, its employees. For this reason, it manufactures 100% BioAutogas or Euro VI-E liquid injection liquefied Autogas engines. BeGas continues to position itself as one of the main options for the decarbonisation of
heavy urban vehicles.

Revenant was born with the aim of becoming the first company to remanufacture heavy machinery for the movement of materials in ports and industry. Our main axis revolves around the Circular Economy, offering an efficient, sustainable and profitable solution to our clients.
