Diesel/autogas hybridisation from MAN TGM and Mercedes Benz Atego for Spartan Logistics

camión híbrido, GLP, ECO

Spartan Logistics is a company specialised in the transport of valuable goods in security vehicles. They transport a wide range of products, such as valuable electronics, mobile phones, cutting-edge technology, jewellery, watches, luxury clothing, works of art or sensitive documentation.

They have a large fleet of vehicles, from high-end armoured vehicles for urgent deliveries of small packages, to armoured vans, armoured trucks and motorcycles.

Currently, their expansion is directed towards the public sphere via tenders with the different public administrations.

The company has conveyed to us their desire to contribute to “the fight for a clean and sustainable environment”, which is why they have decided that more than 50% of their vehicles should be ECO, until they achieve their goal of having 100% ECO vehicles in the future.

At BeGas we have hybridised the MAN TGM and Mercedes Benz Atego diesel, both Euro VI, to LPG/biogas, which has allowed the two vehicles to obtain the Eco-DGT environmental badge.

The hybridisation between diesel and BeGas LPG/biogas for trucks and urban buses is an immediate and minimally intrusive solution to significantly reduce the level of polluting emissions from these diesel vehicles. The most important aspect of the process is the calibration of the vehicle, since it is decisive in achieving the optimum percentage of mixture between gas and diesel and maintaining the original performance of the engine. To do this, at BeGas we have our own state-of-the-art calibration bench for heavy industrial vehicles.

After having tested the two vehicles, Spartan Logística has informed us of their satisfaction with the result, since the vehicles operate with the same performance as they had. They also highlight the “low consumption” and the “possibility of competing in public tenders where it is a requirement to have ECO vehicles”, in line with their expansion policy.
