Madrid, November 15, 2023. The company BeGas, European leader in the manufacture and development of engines powered by alternative energies, enters as a new commercial partner of the Spanish Federation of Moving Companies
The future of fuels in the moving sector has led the Spanish Federation of Moving Companies (FEDEM) to sign a collaboration agreement with BeGas, European leader in the manufacture and development of engines powered by alternative energies, which will be a new collaborating partner of the business organization.
The collaboration agreement has been signed, at the headquarters of FEDEM, by the president of the Federation of Moving Companies, Juan Manuel Rubio, and on behalf of BeGas there has been Pepe Paramés, Commercial and Marketing director of the company.
This is a company that seeks to join forces for the benefit of the moving sector, at a time when the decarbonisation of professional urban transport is being sought, for which it wants to have the support of a company like BeGas, which is the only manufacturer of 100% BioAutogas engines for trucks, a fuel that meets the requirements set by Europe for 2050.
The president of FEDEM, Juan Manuel Rubio, recognises that the signing of this collaboration agreement seeks to provide solutions to moving companies in light of the measures that are being implemented in Spanish cities related to low-emission zones.
Thus, Rubio recalls that the majority of moving companies in Spain have old vehicles, but with few kilometres, a situation that would prevent these trucks from entering the centres of cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants.
For FEDEM, the signing of this agreement shows, once again, its commitment to the environment and its commitment to signing agreements with companies that help maintain the moving sector.
BeGas offers a vehicle re-motorisation service with an engine designed and manufactured by the company. It involves replacing the old engine with another 100% BioAutogas BeGas engine, which also runs on Autogas. A more compact and lighter engine, which has Euro VI Step E approval and drastically reduces polluting emissions. In this way, in addition to contributing to the circular economy by extending the useful life of the vehicle, the Eco-DGT environmental badge is achieved.
Paramés says that thanks to this agreement, a further step is taken towards net zero emissions in the removals sector, since “BioAutogas has a practically neutral carbon footprint”. In addition, “we want to make it easier for the association’s companies to work in city centres through our alternative”, which represents a “much more affordable investment than renewing the fleet”.
